You guys got lucky early, and then the Canes just buckled after that 4th goal by the Rangers to start the 3rd.

He had one flub that was... well... yikes.

The rest was on the D playing too far off their man. Hanifin, Faulk, Slavin all missed assignments trying to go after the puck instead of tying up the opponent's stick.

He made some ridiculous saves, especially in the first. Canes made a real strong push after that 2nd Rangers goal but Hank just sort of sucked the life out of them. Rangers D did a real nice job of tying guys up and preventing second/3rd chances too.

I was only around it once, and after the smell and appearance I decided if I tried it, I never would have kept it down.

A very late night Happy Thanksgiving to Jan and all.
As for McDonagh's abdominal strain, strains of any type fully heal properly & mainly first, with one thing known as "rest", prior to various types of therapies &/or medications. With his injury symptoms likely having first occurred even weeks prior to the official injury revelation on Nov. 22nd, the lack of rest worsened the symptoms into what it developed into.
That's why I feel McDonagh should be rested throughout the entire 4 games home stand against Detroit, Vancouver, Florida, and Carolina. This way, he should be likely fully healed by time the schedule becomes tougher with more road than home games as well. That would keep McDonagh out of game action for a full 2 weeks worth from after the Rangers win over Ottawa on Nov. 19th, until the game in Pittsburgh on Dec. 5th.
In addition, beginning with that Dec. 5th road game, the Rangers will be playing 33 of their remaining games on the road, and only 23 at home. So it is most crucial that Mcdonagh be fully healed for them, than only partially healed for their next 4 at home beginning Friday night, and the balance of the season thereafter.

It was a pleasure visiting this site late tonight initially on Thanksgiving Day, and not seeing that, "Do we tank it now" comment at all today.
Tom Tanked Tons-of Tasty Turkey Today To Terminate That Tomfool "Tanking" ... for at least, but also probably only this 1 day.
